1 · Waste starts in the field
Off-size, overproduced, overripe: every season, tonnes of perfectly tasty local produce risk the bin.
Our mission
Our model fits in one sentence: buy what the island no longer wants to look at — and make it irresistible.
4A rue Fortuné Hoarau, 97414 Entre Deux, Réunion Island
The virtuous circle
Off-size, overproduced, overripe: every season, tonnes of perfectly tasty local produce risk the bin.
Farmers, cooperatives, market sellers: we pay for their surplus instead of collecting it free. Extra income for those who feed the island, extra motivation to stop throwing away.
At the 4A rue Fortuné Hoarau workshop, the “ugly ones” become jams, soups, nectars… Slow cooking, small batches, house recipes, nothing imported.
As a non-profit working through economic inclusion, reviving fruit also means learning a trade and finding a path back to employment.
Every jar purchased closes the loop: a paid producer, a saved fruit, a funded social mission — and a very good snack.
Our mission
“I only buy local péi produce — no imports.” The principle has never budged.
Our fruit travels a few kilometres, not a few seas.
Giving surplus economic value, so anti-waste stays sustainable for everyone.
Workshops and training to spread the rescue reflexes.
Producers & land
Surplus, downgraded produce, a harvest struggling to sell? Let's talk: we buy local péi fruit and vegetable surplus.
HelloAsso
Born in 2022, the association grows thanks to jar sales and helping hands. An online fund is open on HelloAsso to equip the workshop.
